Adult USAV Nationals
The 2012 USA Volleyball Adult Open Championships will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from May 26-June 2.
A club division (AA, A, BB, or B) team must compete in at least two tournaments within Badger Region to be eligible to compete in the USAV National Club Championships.
The Badger Region has set aside funding to help subsidize expenses for teams competing in the USAV National Championships. All teams that meet the following criteria will be awarded $300 to help defray costs to attend US Open Championships.
Before the region deadline (typically the first tournament of the year);
o Team is registered* with a minimum of 6 players.
o Team has submitted a Team Information form to the region office.
Throughout the season;
o Team participates in four region-sanctioned adult tournaments.
o Team participates in the Regional Championships.
o Team has registered by posted deadlines to participate in the USAV National Championships.
*”Registered” is defined as having each individual complete the Webpoint online registration and having six (6) members on the team’s Webpoint roster. The team “leader” will need to contact the Region office in order to get administrative access to build this roster.
USA Volleyball has showcased its USA Volleyball Open National Championships for 80 years since the organization's founding in 1928. Except for 1943 and 1944 during the height of World War II. The Open has been a mainstay celebrating adult volleyball nationally. The event is one of the largest national championships in any sport in the United States, and the Open has featured the sport of volleyball from coast-to-coast.
Sitting Volleyball will be offered in 2012. This competition will be open to both genders and athletes of all physical abilities.
In addition, the Men's 75 & Over Division has been replaced by Men's 73 & Over, Men's 76 & Over and Men's 79 & Over.

National Tournament Definitions:
• US Open Tournament Teams: Teams composed of players from any source who are highly skilled, elite level players. Teams entered by invitation only.
• US Club Tournament Teams: Teams composed of players mostly from the same region. USAV allows two players from another region on a team roster. Club Classifications are by skill, AA, A, BB, B. Teams select their own skill levels with region approval.
• US Masters and Seniors Tournament Teams: Teams composed of players who meet the approved minimum age. Teams may be a conglomerate, from any region.
• US Co-ed Tournament Teams: Teams composed of players meeting the definition of co-ed division of competition and consistent with tournament requirements. Teams may be conglomerate (players from different regions).
