BJ LeRoy – Northeast Rep (Elected 2016)
BJ LeRoy was in the group that formed the Badger Region in 1994, when there were fewer than 10 clubs in the state. He was the Northeast Representative on the first Badger Region board and served in the position from 1995 to 2002, and again from 2008 to present.
BJ is CAP II certified and has been teaching IMPACT since 1995. He also serves as the region’s education contact. He takes coaching questions from all members, including training tactics, coaching philosophy, dealing with parents (and directors) and youth training. You can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
He took over the Lakeland Attack volleyball club in 1992, running up to 10 junior teams until 2006 when the club transitioned to serving adults. He currently coaches girls 11s.
BJ has served as the Adult Representative to the board since 2007, and has traveled to adult nationals since it was held in Milwaukee in 2000. He also serves as a tournament director and region arbitrator.
BJ coached varsity volleyball for 14 years and was active in migrating the NFHS to USAV-style rules, such as allowing coaches to stand during matches. He is a 1992 graduate of UW-Madison, and (with wife Shelli) has two volleyball players, Sam (in the backyard) and Carsyn (girls club.)
