Referee/Scorekeeper Clinic Information
The purpose of the clinics is to provide training and instruction for volleyball club players and coaches to be able to perform the following officiating responsibilities during tournaments:
--First Referee
--Second referee
--Scorekeeper
--Line judge
All Badger Region referees must attend one clinic annually and may attend any Badger Region sanctioned clinic listed here. Clinics are $10 for pre-registration and $25 for walk-up registration. This fee must be sent via check to the Badger Region office.

Club-Hosted Clinics (2.5 Hours)
These clinics are for club members who will act as scorekeepers and/or work crew at tournaments. Each club must either host a clinic ($100) or send a representative to a club-hosted clinic ($10) to teach the rest of the club. The Region will be keeping track of this.

USAV National Referee Clinic (3 Hours)
This is a required clinic for all USAV Junior National and National Referees and is optional for all other ratings. Please contact USAV for registration.
Date: Feb. 3, 2012 at Center Court in Waukesha.
**USAV/Badger Region will also be hosting a Scorekeeper Clinic on Feb. 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Center Court. All those interested in scorekeeping are welcome to attend. Please see below for more information.
Scorekeeping Certification Clinics
These clinics are designed for certified officials and other Badger Region members who wish to certify as scorekeepers.
The purpose of each clinic is to provide training for individuals interested in pursuing a Provisional/Regional Scorekeeper Certification. The Badger Region is working toward the goal of having a pool of Provisional certified scorekeepers to be available to scorekeep/scorekeep monitor at region hosted events.

USA Volleyball / Badger Region Scorekeeping Clinic
Badger Region will be hosting a Scorekeeping Clinic that will be conducted by USA Volleyball Scorekeeper Clinician George Egan on Friday, Feb. 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Center Court in Waukesha. To register, please click here to fill out the online form.
This clinic will focus on the skills involved in scoring an event as well as understanding the impact and relationship that the scorekeeper and referee should establish prior to the match and between each set to ensure proper match management and tournament results/event progress. Highlights: Court Management Skills, Communication, Understanding and Executing Scoring.
Badger Region Certification/Re-Certification: This clinic will also serve as a Badger Region Scorekeeper Certification and/or Re-Certification clinic requirement. Subsequent requirements will have to be completed as noted on the Badger Region website, found here. Individuals will have the opportunity to score during an event on Saturday and Sunday, upon approval/registratoin to attend this program for full certification or re-certification.

Clinic Outline: Adult/Junior Scorekeeper Certification
1. 1 hour classroom instruction and/or home pre-clinic review of USAV Scorekeeper procedure document.
2. Score keep a minimum of 2 matches.
3. Libero track for a minimum of 1 match.
4. Participants need to pass the on-court scorekeeping training, as determined by the clinicia(s).
5. Take the on-line scorekeeper exam. Exam must then be corrected to 100%, verified by the Scorekeeper Chair.
