To participate in the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships, a team must either register for the Patriot Division (all-comers) or attempt to qualify for one of the four bid-winner divisions: Open, National, USA and American. Teams must attend a national qualifier to earn Open or USA bids, while they may attend a regional qualifier to earn National or American bids. For additional information on the five divisions, click here. All boys bids are awarded through the national bid tournament process. Click here for more information.

The Badger Region Qualifier awards one or more National and American bid(s) in each age division. The number of bids awarded is determined by USA Volleyball. Some bids may be awarded through “Trickle Down” or the “Reallocation Process,” and therefore be granted after the completion of the tournament, as late as the first week of May. The Badger Region will award one National bid to the winner of each age division, and an American bid to the second AND third place finishers in each age division. In 2017, the Badger Region was also No. 2 on the National Reallocation List and No. 20 on the American Reallocation List.

Continuing for 2018: The Badger Region will pre-reserve hotel rooms for the winners of each age division 12-17 in Detroit for the Girls Junior National Championships. If a team chooses not to take the rooms reserved by the Region, they will go to the second place team, and so-on down the line.
