Athletes Selected To Represent Badger Region At HP Championships!
Some of the top athletes in the state have been chosen to repsent Badger Region at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships, slated for July 26-30 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Click here for the rosters of the four teams: Boys / Girls. Good luck!

What is High Performance? USA Volleyball developed the High Performance Programs as a tool for identifying athletes with potential to become future National Team Members. This National Program has 3 Divisions (updated for 2008):

Select National: Boys: Born in 1995, 1996 and after; Girls: Born in 1996, 1997 and after
Youth National: Boys: Born in 1993,1994 ; Girls: Born in 1994 and 1995
Junior National: Men’s: Born in 1991 and 1992; Women’s: Born in 1992 and 1993 (no regional program, please see below for information on the national HP program).

Athletes can tryout for the National HP program, Region program (youth and select only), or both. Information about the National HP Program can be found here. For information on the Badger Region High Performance Program (girls and boys select and youth only), please read on.

What is the Badger Regional High Performance Program?
This is our own region's program dedicated to giving our state's top athletes, regardless of club affiliation, an opportunity to train together under some of our region's best coaches. We will select 15 males and 24 females from each of the Select and Youth National Level to participate in a camp through a regional tryout. Click here for a history of the Badger Region HP program.

Boy's camp: July 16-19 at Lakeland College
Girl's camp: July 16-18 at UW Green Bay

The camp cost is about $275. From the camp, the top males and females from either age group will be selected to compete in the USAV High Performance Championships July 26-30 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. (changed from Tennessee). Badger Region covers all of the costs of participation except ground transportation. The top female and male athlete in the Select level will receive an invitation to attend the National A2 camp (see the USAV HP website for more information on the A2 camp and the HP Championships).

2010 Tryouts for the Badger Region High Performance Program will be held as follows:
Girls: Friday, March 19th at the Midwest Airlines Center, Milwaukee*
*The alternate tryout date is March 26 at the Midwest Airlines Center.

Boys: Friday, March 26th at the Midwest Airlines Center, Milwaukee**
**The alternate tryout date is Thursday, March 25 at Players Choice in Appleton.

Directions

Check-in for March 19 and 26 begins at 5:00 p.m., on-court evaluations will take place from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Check in for March 25 begins at 5:30 with on-court evaluations from 6:00-8:30 p.m.
