Junior Ref Training
Clubs are required to train their athletes and coaches in the art of serving as a junior ref crew with their in-person clinics or online modules.
Junior ref training modules are now available in your athletes USAV academy. All athletes are automatically enrolled in the certification program for the 2026-27 season.
To access, a user must login to the parent-owned Sports Engine account. When prompted, click on the USAV Academy button, and select the athlete’s name since that is who has the membership. In the “content library,” they will see BG27-101 Junior Level Officiating Certification Training.
This training has five modules:
- 011-USAV Junior R1
- 012-USAV Junior R2
- 013-USAV Junior Line Judge
- 014-USAV Junior Scorer
- 015-USAV Junior Assistant Scorer / Libero Tracker
The athlete will get credit for all five modules once all of them are completed. If they need to stop mid-way through training, they will be able to pick up where they left off.
If your club would like to host an in-person junior ref clinic, please email Ref Chair Sara Voigt at sara@badgervolleyball.org for a list of clinicians in your area.
