It’s only May, but the time has come to start talking tryouts for the 2023-24 season. Here are a list of dates all parents, athletes and club directors should know as announced in late April by the Badger Region Board of Directors:
Aug. 1-10: Retention period opens for clubs in the Badger Region who want to offer athletes who played in their club during the 2022-23 season a spot for the 2023-24 season. Athletes/families must commit to the club by Aug. 10. If they choose to commit to the club, it is for the duration of the 2023-24 season. If an athlete/family changes their mind, a release from the retaining club must be requested. The release does not have to be granted. A retention offer acceptance is an allowed commitment to the club before the tryout periods listed below.
