The Junior Club Director Handbook governs most policies and procedures for clubs and athletes. Policies listed in the handbook come at the direction of the Badger Region Board of Directors. Policies/procedures

  • The Badger Region Board of Directors has said that if a coach, club director or staff member is required to officiate at a USAV/Badger Region sanctioned tournament, they should be compensated. Tournament directors should give clubs ample warning if they are going to need coaches to R1 at events well in advance.
  • The Badger Region Board of Directors strongly recommends that if a mutually beneficial solution between an athlete and the club through the mediation process can not be found, the club shall release an athlete who is paid in full. Time of season does not apply once the athlete is paid in full.
  • The Badger Region incident report form is no longer available on the Badger Region website. To request a copy of the form to be emailed to you as a director, email us at membership@badgervolleyball.org.
  • Certificates of Insurance will be emailed directly to the email address(es) submitted on the request form. The email will provide a link to download the certificate and will come from “Epic Entertainment and Sports”.
  • There are NO background screening “discount codes” any more
    • We encourage the club to have the member pay for their background screening and then reimburse the member however the club handles payments/reimbursements to coaches.
  • It’s now easier to access the USA Volleyball Academy for online training purposes
    • Log into Sports Engine
    • Click on the USAV Academy button right there on your profile screen
    • Select the member that needs access to the Academy

member management specifics

  • If someone is rostered but not assigned to the club there will be an error stating the are missing the required membership (even if they have a membership in place). Club directors must send the club assignment requests and ensure the athletes/coaches have accepted them
  • Have a high school student interested in coaching? They must be at least 16 years old and have the Junior Aged Staff membership. This will require IMPACT training. They may only be listed as a manager in AES. They can be listed as an assistant coach in Sports Engine.
  • If a junior age coach turns 18 during the season, have them start the season with the Junior Aged Staff membership. Upon turning 18, they must create their own account using a different email than the parent account. Then contact us at membership@badgervolleyball.org and we will work with Sports Engine to move your profile/membership from your parent account to your own account. When that is complete, they will be able to submit a background screen. To be listed as a head coach on a roster, an individual must be 18 years old with an adult coach of juniors membership and complete the safety requirements (background screening and SafeSport).
  • It is recommended to create & complete rosters in Sports Engine first. Once all rosters are approved, perform a USAV Import in AES and all teams/athletes/coaches will migrate over. Be sure you “connect to  a season” and select USA Volleyball in Sports Engine; Add Season Management Integration in AES.
  • “Official” rosters include the USAV logo, membership ID #s, and “eligible” status. Make sure you are printing the correct roster to submit at tournaments.
